Carlsbad-based Callaway Golf said Jan. 5 that it acquired uPlay for an undisclosed sum. UPlay, also based in Carlsbad, makes a consumer electronic device that uses GPS technology as well as aerial and satellite photography to give golfers a bird’s-eye view of the course they are playing.
